How do I make an appointment?

What should I expect at my first appointment?

Prior to your scheduled appointment time, you will be asked to register as a patient online and complete some paperwork.  
 
Bring your driver's license and health insurance card with you to your first session.

Your therapist will get to know you, help you identify goals for therapy, and begin addressing the areas you choose to work on.

Do you have private parking?

How long do appointments last?

Sessions are generally 45-55 minutes long.

When will I notice changes and how long will I be in therapy?

Accepted Answer

Because everyone's experience is unique this question does not have a definitive answer. Most people report feeling some relief after the first session.
Although flexible, it is recommended to initially have a session frequency of once per week until you begin to notice regular relief from your symptoms.  As you begin to feel better, sessions can be spread out to every other week, once per month, or as needed.  On average, therapy can last 3-6 months.
That being said, this is your therapy experience and you get to decide what we talk about, how often you'd like to attend sessions, and how long you want to remain in therapy. Everyone is different and your appointment frequency and duration of therapy is individally tailored to fit your needs.

What are your fees?

$180 for Initial Session (Diagnostic Interview & Assessment)
$140 for 45 minutes
$150 for 55 minutes

Cancellation Policy
If you do not show up for your scheduled appointment and you have not notified us at least 24 hours in advance you will be assessed a $30.00 no show/late cancellation appointment fee.

Can I use my health insurance?

Yes, therapy sessions may be covered in full or in part by your health insurance or employee benefit plan. 
 
It is recommended that you call the number on the back of your insurance card prior to your first session to verify that you have mental health insurance benefits and the amount that is covered. You should also verify with your insurance that Breanna Kaup MA, LIMHP, CPC is an in-network provider.
